Privacy policy

We collect the minimum needed to research a property and deliver what you ordered. No account is required, and we never ask for your phone number to see a result.

What we collect

The property address you ask about, the email address you give us for delivery, an optional name, and your answers to the short intake questions. If you buy the ADU Decision Kit, payment is handled by Stripe; your card details go to Stripe directly and never touch our servers.

How we use it

The address is used to look up public property records and to verify the location, first through the City of San Diego's address locator and then, when the City locator has no match, through Google's Geocoding API. Your email is used to deliver your report and purchase. Marketing email is separate and only sent if you gave that consent; you can withdraw it any time.

Where it lives

The site runs on Cloudflare infrastructure in the United States. Transactional email is sent through Resend. Purchase records are kept for bookkeeping and tax obligations.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics to understand which pages help and where visitors come from. It sets measurement cookies in your browser. Its advertising features are turned off, and we honor your browser's Global Privacy Control signal automatically.

How long we keep it

Address checks that never become a report are deleted after 90 days. Reports, the source records behind them, and purchased kit files are kept 24 months — with free resend of your files for that whole period. Purchase and refund records are kept 7 years for bookkeeping and tax. If you unsubscribe from marketing email, we keep that request on file and stop marketing emails. Your report and any kit you buy still reach you.

What we do not do

We do not sell your information, share it with contractors or lenders without asking you first, or run advertising trackers on this site.

Your choices

Email us to see what we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it. We acknowledge requests within 10 business days and complete them within 45 days. We will honor deletion requests except where a record must be kept for legal or accounting reasons.
